The Spotlight of the Month is an opportunity to recognize and thank those that go above and beyond for our association! We have so many board members, coaches, team managers, referees, and parents who help out with teams and events throughout the season, so we want to take a moment to say thanks for all they do!

For our February Spotlight, we would like to thank Mark Strenger for all he does for BESA! Mark is BESA's Director of Officials and Referee Assignor. He spends countless hours assigning games to referees, making sure our referees are confident and prepared to work games, and referees many games himself. He donates so much of his time to his Board Member duties and goes above and beyond his role's responsibilities - whether it be unlocking fields, setting up tents with Gatorade for referees on hot game days, or transporting equipment from place to place. You'll find Mark at Texas Star every weekend, you'll see him at fundraising events and tournaments, and he even goes out of his way to cheer on BESA teams around the area. Mark is a big proponent of giving back to the community and has been a big part of our St. Jude donations each year in October. He has also donated registration funds for players in need. The board and BESA are so lucky to have Mark on our team - we can't thank him enough for all he does for soccer, BESA, and our community. Thank you, Mark!
The Full Board meets every third Monday of the month (subject to change).
